Hi guys,
many thanks for your kind words. Glad you like my little one
!
Little cargo vessels like coasters are beauties and I was grown up with them. My hometown Rendsburg was a "coastertown", where lots of them could be seen in the 1970'ies and 80'ies. My own fleet includes such kind of cargo vessels, built by Sietas (
HOHEBURG, NAUSICA), Nobiskrug (
ANNEMARIE) and Holst (
KÖHLBRAND).
But only one of all coasters got the stuff to became a german TV Star! "Unfortunately" it was a dutch built one
..! But that's not really a problem, because the Gebr. Sanders built
AXEL was owned by Fritz Vollmers of Rendsburg, my hometown. We all knew this goldie as
HENRIETTE II, which showed us the danish, dutch and german coastline in the 1970-80'ies. This one is my next project. It's difficult to get plans of the vessel so I have to reconstruct the hull by pictures. My advantage was to have some old photos from the keellaying (thanx to shipspotters NL), which showed the whole shape of the coaster. My intention is to build a dutch, a danish and a german coaster in nearly the same scale, because these vessels moulded our north european history.
The hull of the danish one would depict a vessel of Nordsoevaerftet Ringköbing. This one is nearly finished. It'll be named
JENSTAR or
ARLIL. A new or an older Serie 61 coaster. The reconstruction of the hull (general arrangement & ribs) was made by my colleague Ralph.

1/35 scale hull/ dansk coaster Serie61 - 'glasfibered'/ constructed by Ralph-built by Arne:
The dutch Gebr. Sander built coaster is the next, I want to create. Scale ca. 1/35 and a length of 150cm. The reconstruction of the hull (general arrangement & ribs) was made by Arne/ myself.
*This one should sail in the end of 2018!
I don't know which german one I want to built. But I think, it would be one of Wewelsfleth, Husum or Büsum, because I have rebuilt to much vessels from Hamburg of Sietas in the past. I want to built one, which comes from my home of Schleswig Holstein:). May be one of the following ones:
