Modelbouw in Frankrijk.
Hello
I am a French modeller based near Paris and I am sorry I can not speak Dutch. I subscribed to this very interesting forum because I am interested in coasters and tugs. I see there is a wealth of information I can find here that I can not find in French or even in British Forums.
My preferred scale is 1/50 or 1/48, and I have a lot of ship projects. I would be glad to exchange views about modelling. I am also looking for Dutch model ship suppliers and ship plans.
here is one of my first serious model
It is the Billing Boat kit St Canute /StKnud/ Stockvik in 1/50. I put a SVS steam engine inside.
I guess people may know that the real tug still exists and is under restoration by its current owner
https://stockvik.webs.com/
I am interested in old coasters from 1930-1960. I recently bought a 1/50 Mercantic that I plan to improve.
I will post pictures later on.
I also tried to make a coaster from printed carton, but it was not very successful :
I guess the scale is 1/40. I Enlarged a 1/100 carton model but I enlarged it too much
I have many ship plans that I scanned in high resolution. If people are interested pls let me know by private message.
I am also looking for other scanned plans as I building up a collection.
Bedankt
Valery

John Sins, "leverancier" van veel foto's op dit forum, bouwde jaren geleden dit prachtige model van de Scandinavian Express en recentelijk heeft hij haar voorzien van een deklading sleepboten.
